TCCC#15: Winner and Hiatus Announcement!

Welcome to another fabulous Friday here on Third Coast Creative Challenges!

With a heavy heart I've decided to put Third Coast Creative Challenges on a small hiatus because many of you are aware of the ongoing problems that Third Coast Rubber Stamps is battling with!
As a member of their design team and coordinator of the challenges I'm afraid I don't know the status of any of your outstanding orders and prizes.  I can only hope that everything will return back to normal very very soon and then we can start having amazing challenges again!

Thank you to everyone who has played with us and I hope that you will remember that Third Coast Rubber Stamps has a truly amazing selection of gorgeous rubber stamps and will return to play with us in the near future!  So check in often to make sure you're not missing out on a brand new challenge with a fabulous prize for you to win :0)
Now I'd like to end off on a joyful note and announce the winner of TCCC#15 Spring Steampunk!
Thank you to those of you who played in our Spring Steampunk Challenge!  I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all your interpretations of the theme :D

Congratulations to Karen McAlpine!

Here's your winner's badge for your blog :0)
Thanks so much for playing and I look forward to seeing more of your fabulous entries in the near future!

Keep on stamping!

TCCC#15: Spring Steampunk Challenge!

Welcome to another fabulous Friday here on Third Coast Creative Challenges!

Thank you to those of you who played in our Easter Bonnet Challenge!  Hopefully the next challenge will inspire even more of you to come and play with us!

The random winner for TCCC#14 is Pat!  Congratulations Pat, you've won a $25 gift certificate to Third Coast Rubber Stamps and here's your winner's badge for your blog :0)

On to our next challenge!

TCCC#15 - Spring Steampunk
I'm looking for creations done in the Steampunk style with a Spring theme!  Anything that means Spring to you like bunnies, chicks, Easter Eggs, flowers, etc is welcome!  It would also be cool if you included some real metal springs in your projects too just for the fun of it ;0)

All kinds of projects are welcome but you MUST rubber stamp at least one image!  You are also welcome to use rubber stamps and digi stamps from any company but to qualify for the prize or the Coterie Top 3 you must use at least ONE Third Coast rubber stamp and have it as the main focus of your project.

Before I share my creation for today I want to let you know that I've decided to make some changes.  Starting today Third Coast challenges will now run for 4 weeks instead of two.  I hope this will give everyone more time to create and come and play with us!  New challenges will always start on the first Friday of each month at 7am PST and will close on the Wednesday (at 7am PST) before the next challenge starts!  The winner, Top 3 or Honourable Mentions will be announced on Fridays when the new challenge starts.

Due to the fact that Third Coast is still busy trying to catch up with the chaos caused by a nasty PC virus over a year ago on top of building a new outpost for Third Coast and the resulting lack of challenge participation I don't feel comfortable handing out prizes until things return back to normal.  So for now I'm only going to be awarding your fabulous entries with our snazzy Winner, Top 3 and Honourable Mentions badges!  I hope you will understand and won't give up playing in our challenges and will play for the pure enjoyment of creating...I'm doing my best to give you some fun themes to work with ;0)  The Third Coast website states they're closed for winter and aren't accepting new orders until after April 15 so hopefully things will return back to normal soon!

Now for today's inspiration!  I think its safe to finally share one of my Alice in Wonderland Steampunk domino necklaces that was recently published in Just Steampunk volume 2 :0)
Go grab your copy of the issue if you haven't already done so!

This Alice in Wonderland Steampunk Rabbit is part of Third Coast's stamp called Steamy Alice KG-060-Q

If you LOVE Alice in Wonderland projects then you might want to stop by my DominoART blog for week 2 of D'ART#2 Alice in Wonderland Domino Books.  Hope to see you there!

Please remember to follow our few simple challenge rules and most of all...have fun!
We love hearing from you so please leave us a comment after linking!

TCCC#14: Week 2 of the Easter Bonnets Challenge!

Welcome to another fabulous Friday here on Third Coast Creative Challenges!

I'm thrilled this challenge has inspired you and I'm loving the entries received so far!  I've extended the end date for this challenge, read why below, so now you've got more time to play so keep them coming ;0)

TCCC#14 - Easter Bonnets
I'm looking for creations featuring bonnets or hats in some way or form for this one!  So put your best hat on, come join the fun and enter for the chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Third Coast Rubber Stamps!

Starting with challenge #15 the challenges will run for 4 weeks instead of two.

TCCC#15 will now start on April 5 and here's a heads up...the theme will be Spring Steampunk!  Keep an eye on the schedule on the right hand side bar for sneak peeks at upcoming challenge themes!

So with that change in mind I'm now extending the end date for this challenge!  TCCC#14 will now close Wednesday April 3 at 7am PST instead of March 20!  Woohoo, that gives you all more time to come and play us ;0)

Now for today's inspiration!  I've made a card that features another one of Third Coast's bonnet wearing felines with the same perfect sentiment.  I LOVE this kitty, she's so adorable in her fancy bonnet and matching outfit!

Here's pics of the other bonnet kitties available once Third Coast is back to accepting new orders, you can find them here!

TCCC#13 Mardi Gras - Masquerade Challenge!

Hello Third Coasters!

It's time for a new challenge and the theme is
TCCC#13 Mardi Gras - Masquerade
Everyone is invited to the ball so get out your mask and beads and enter for the chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Third Coast Rubber Stamps!

Please note that Third Coast Rubber Stamps is currently closed for the winter and isn't accepting new orders until March 15 2013.  A new Third Coast outpost is being built in the Colorado Rockies on top of the technical difficulties experienced over the last year or so and they will be back accepting new orders in March.  In the meantime, they'll be getting caught up with outstanding orders and challenge prizes.  If you are waiting for a paid order, please see their Order Resolution Offers
Third Coast thanks you for your patience and understanding as they continue to work to overcome their technical problems.

Back to the fun stuff...I challenge you to create a project with either a Mardi Gras or Masquerade theme. I've made an altered domino necklace to provide you with some inspiration!
